Detoxing Before the Function
Using infrared sauna treatment to reset your system on the crest of a long weekend
Alignment Before Release
In Detroit we are preparing for the return of Movement - one of the largest electronic music festivals in the world. Devising a successful plan for a long weekend of sustained celebration & dancing (even for those of us who practice sober socializing) requires proper alignment, hydration, and balance of relaxation.
Using an Infrared Sauna is a great way to reset your immune system and relax your body in the days before sustained social output. Infrared penetrates your body on a cellular level, pushing toxins out with your sweat at a much higher rate than dry saunas. They also help to lower cortisol, allowing your body a sense of relaxation that might be hard to achieve otherwise.
IR saunas can also help to prevent morning-after discomforts by boosting circulation and detoxifying your system. Our clients often report waking up easier and feeling refreshed after one or two treatments.
From a vanity standpoint, there is another benefit to using infrared before making social appearances. IR saunas promote the production of collagen and elastin which are crucial proteins for retaining soft and glowing skin.
Just remember to stay hydrated. Saunas (like raving) can cause fluid loss - so be sure to drink plenty of water before and after your session, especially if you'll be drinking or consuming substances later. We suggest adding electrolytes or trace minerals to your water to sustain yourself during the infrared treatment.
Infrared saunas are safe to use multiple days in a row, and the benefits of detoxing heavy metal toxins from your system will multiply the more you are able to refresh the systems of the body. Be sure to plan your long weekend carefully, leaving plenty of room for needed relaxation between movement.
